Newbie to candle making

Help !!! Hi Newbie to the craft looking for help with utilizing fragrance oils and essential oils for soy medium i.e. how much fragrance do I add to be able to smell the lit candles I'm making!!

I'm going to try making a few small candles with different amounts of fragrance oils, not more than a tablespoon for a small batch, but enough to figure out how strong is strong and how weak is nothing... if that makes sense?
