Anyone using 84X wax?

I'm having alot of air bubbles when pouring and when cooled the wax is shrinking away from sides. Im not sure what Im doing wrong or different. I use cement vessels with some acrylic paint thru out the vessel. My home is around 74*F, wax is around 220*F then mixed with FO stirred for aprox 1-2 minutes then poured in vessel on raised rack covered with cardboard box overnight to keep drafts off. Anyone got any tips tricks or suggestions on what Im doing thats creating all the air bubbles and shrinkage?

I think those two could be related! A common cause for air bubbles is pouring the wax too hot, so I would suggest trying a cooler pour temperature. Maybe aim for around 180-190F.

Your cement vessels could also be a factor since they might be absorbing some of the heat from the wax, causing it to cool too quickly. Preheating your vessels with a heat gun or in a low oven before pouring can help with both the bubbles and the shrinkage!

The cardboard box is a good idea to prevent drafts, but it might be trapping too much heat, causing the wax to cool too slowly. Try experimenting with letting the candles cool uncovered and see if that makes a difference. Hope this helps!

A couple of things could be causing both the bubbles and shrinkage. Pouring at 220°F is on the hotter side for some waxes, which can trap air when it cools too quickly so try letting it cool slightly maybe around 180 to 190°F before adding fragrance and pouring.
