adding colorant and fragrance to the wax

Hi guys, I'm new to candle making but really want to learn the best way to make this

I wonder when the best time to add colorant and fragrance to the wax is. Is there a particular order to do this?

The best time to add fragrance is when your wax is fully melted and around 175–185F, this helps the scent bind well and throw nicely. Add colorant right after the wax melts but before the fragrance, so the scent doesn't mess with the color. Stir both gently and test small batches so you can find what you like!

it's actually simple. Colorant first, then fragrance. Just make sure the wax is hot when you add the colorant (around 185F), and then let it cool slightly before adding your fragrance. A long, slow stir after adding the fragrance is also a must!

@rhasberry_ I think go with color first, fragrance second too. Just make sure the wax is fully melted for the color, then cool it slightly before adding your scent for the best throw.
